Green Resources announces Future Forest program
Green Resources has become member of the Norwegian organization called “Skoglauget” – a network of companies and institutions within the forestry sector in Norway, who in 2008 joined forces to improve on recruitment, competence building and the public image for the sector. The aim is that the network shall contribute to recruitment and development of future management candidates, innovators and business developers. “Skoglauget” has initiated a Trainee program called Forest Future, and Green Resources is one among eight members who have recruited a candidate through the trainee program. Hartvig Velund, a new MSc. graduate from the Management of Natural Resources Program at the University of Life Science in Ås, has been employed as a trainee on a two year program. He will be based partly in Mozambique and partly in Tanzania and Oslo and be part of the environmental certification team within the company. As part of the trainee program he will participate in 4-5 workshops together with the other trainees and get his own experienced mentor. The Forest Future Trainee program begins on 17th of August 2009.
